IHG has Signed a Hotel Indigo in London’s Clerkenwell
Following the opening of Hotel Indigo Stratford Upon Avon and ahead of the openings of both Hotel Indigo Bath and Hotel Indigo Chester later in the year, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a Management Agreement with Omenport Developments Ltd for the hotel. Omenport is owned by Keith and Jeanne Davies.
The 151-room hotel will be the fifth Hotel Indigo in London and is expected to open in early 2021. Located in the heart of the city, Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell brings a brand defining property to IHG’s pipeline.
THPT Comment – Is Clerkenwell destined to be the new Hackney/Shoreditch? There some people (of my age) who would raise their eyebrows to hear of a hotel of this ilk opening in this district of London, so good luck to the Davies family.

Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston Opens Doors
The soaring glass skyscraper – now the city’s third tallest building and its highest residences at 724 feet or 220 metres – was designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in collaboration with Gary Johnson of Cambridge Seven Associates.
The hotel’s 215 hotel rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, with every detail anticipating the needs and wants of modern travellers, from soundproofing between floors and rooms and precision-glazed windows to at-one’s-fingertips in-room technologies.
Original works selected from the Hotel’s extensive art collection curated by Kate Chertavian are in every room and suite, as well as public spaces throughout.

Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas to Open November 2019
Set against the backdrop of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains on the East Cape of the Baja California Peninsula, the 1,000-acre (405 hectare) resort community of Costa Palmas stretches along two miles (3.2 kilometres) of swimmable white sand beach on the shores of the Sea of Cortez. Once a haven of adventure and escape for Hollywood celebrities and Texas fishermen arriving by small plane or chartered boat in the 1950s, the vast landscape of the East Cape has remained virtually untouched, until now.
Dining and drinking experiences at Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas are highlighted by the first Latin American outpost of Chef Costas Spiliadis’ famed Mediterranean seafood empire, estiatorio Milos. A phenomenal culinary concept with restaurants in Montreal, New York, Athens, Las Vegas, Miami and London, estiatorio Milos will offer its classic menu and market-style seafood selection, while also embracing Mexico’s copious natural resources.

Conrad Nashville Hotel Announced for 2021
The 14-floor Conrad Nashville will anchor a 34-story tower to include 196 high-end condominiums. A 21-story office tower with 510,000 square feet of Class AA space will rise next to the hotel and condo tower at Broadwest. The two towers will be connected by an additional 125,000 square feet of retail and creative office space and will be anchored by a 1.5-acre plaza at the heart of this new community.
Conrad Nashville is projected to open in 2021 and will join the brand’s growing portfolio, which currently includes eight properties open in the Americas and nearly 30 others across the globe.
THPT Comment – This impressive looking building will certainly add to the Nashville skyline.

Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere Takes Brand into Austria
Hyatt Hotels has opened Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere, marking the brand’s entry into Austria.
Located in the new Quartier Belvedere, the property is the fourth Andaz branded hotel in Europe, joining Andaz London Liverpool Street, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht and the recently opened Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor.
The hotel is comprised of two separate buildings connected by interwoven bridges, sharing a spacious lobby lounge on the ground floor.
THPT Comment – Andaz has had a slightly slow start in Europe since it’s luanch in London in 2007…let’s hope this is the start on an increased pace.
