Shared Ownership Week 2019: Buyers Invited to Sunday Brunch with L&Q

On Sunday 22nd September, from 10:30am – 2:30pm, multi-award winning housing association L&Q will host Sunday Brunch with L&Q: a drop in open morning across five of its East London Shared Ownership developmentss, to celebrate Shared Ownership Week 2019.

The one-off event will provide first-time buyers with the opportunity to tour some of L&Q’s East London schemes, learn about Shared Ownership and enjoy an artisan packed-brunch from gourmet caterer, Rock My Bowl. Brunch will be served at Bow East in Bow, Lansbury Square in Poplar, Ropemakers Yard in Limehouse, The Forge in Upton Park and Weavers Quarter in Barking.

Shared Ownership Week is dedicated to raising awareness of the alternative home ownership option, highlighting the benefits of the scheme and answering buyers’ questions. Sunday Brunch with L&Q will give buyers the chance to view a selection of developments and get their questions answered by the professional sales team, throughout the course of the morning.

Helping new homeowners settle into their property, all buyers who reserve at the event will receive a £250 grocery voucher upon completion.*

Claire Brenlund, L&Q’s Assistant Director for Sales – London, comments, “We’re pleased to be a partner in Shared Ownership Week once again, helping to extend understanding of the scheme to first-time buyers across London and beyond. Whilst knowledge of Shared Ownership has grown significantly over the past few years, we find there are still a number of common misconceptions about the scheme. At Sunday Brunch with L&Q, we hope to de-mystify some of these, and inspire potential buyers with our brand new homes.

“East London is a natural choice for first-time buyers. Home to some of the capital’s most exciting regeneration projects, there continues to be pockets of affordability with immense potential for first-time buyers. What better way to discover the homes than whilst enjoying a typical Sunday morning, East London activity – brunch!”

Three L&Q developments in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets will be open on the day. Situated in the heart of Poplar, Lansbury Square has rare 3-bedroom townhouses available through Shared Ownership, perfect for first-time buyer families, as well as a 2-bedroom duplex and single-storey apartments. At Bow East just two apartments remain available, including a 2-bedroom apartment and a 3-bedroom apartment. In nearby Limehouse, Ropemakers Yard offers a mix of 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, located just 6 minutes from Limehouse DLR station.

In the neighbouring London Borough of Newham, L&Q has recently launched The Forge, consisting of a range of 1 to 3-bedroom apartments and duplexes, and one 4-bedroom townhouse, all available through Shared Ownership. The new community in Newham provides the much sought-after outdoor space popular with families and nature enthusiasts, with homes clustered round green spaces and communal courtyards.

Now over 85% reserved, L&Q’s Weavers Quarter in Barking has a collection of 2-bedroom apartments remaining. Built in partnership with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, the award-winning scheme is just a 10 minute walk from Barking station, where C2C trains to Fenchurch Street take 20 minutes.
